Smile makeover

What is a Smile Makeover?

This is a cosmetic dentistry process which uses a range of techniques to improve a patient’s smile. It is considered to be the ‘gold standard’ in cosmetic dentistry.

This process includes the following procedures:

  • Porcelain veneers or Invisalign braces
  • Dental implants, bridge or a denture
  • Teeth whitening
  • Composite bonding
  • Laser gum contouring
  • Botox or a dermal filler
  • The replacement of metal fillings with natural, ‘white’ looking restorations

A smile makeover is seen as a good way of treating teeth that are stained or uneven. Teeth can become stained or discolored over the years, often as a result of drinking large amounts of tea and coffee.

What are the Benefits?

If you are uncomfortable about smiling, or try toavoid doing so, then rest assured you are not alone. There are a great many people who are embarrassed by their smile, which is mainly due to the state of their teeth. If you have missing, crooked or discolored teeth, these are likely to be the cause of your self-consciousness. Having your photograph taken can be something of an ordeal for many people who prefer to remain tight- lipped rather than expose their teeth.

If you are in this position and want to be able to smile again and with confidence, a smile makeover is the answer. Itis impossible to understate the effect a brighter, more attractive smile can have on your self-confidence and sense of well-being.

A smile makeover at The Parkway starts with a consultation to discover what your aspirations are and how we can help you achieve them. Our ‘smile team’ draw on a variety of techniques, specialist treatments and skills to help you achieve your perfect smile. No two patients are alike, so our recommendations could include cosmetic dentistry, restorative procedures or a combination of the two. At every stage you will be given the opportunity to talk about your preferences and placed in complete control of your treatment.

A typical smile makeover might include procedures including dental veneers, dental implants, gingival sculpting and teeth whitening.

Deciding on the right Smile Makeover treatments

You will be given a detailed treatment plan so that you know exactly what will take place, when the work will be done and how much it will cost. Here at The Parkway, we take special care to alleviate these fears. We will talk through options including Local and General Anaesthesia, as well as Sedation techniques, to ensure your complete relaxation during treatment.

With a range of payment options available, you don’t have to delay your treatment – Contact The Parkway now to make an appointment and we will discuss your options in as much detail as you wish.

Pain-free, fear-free Smile Makeovers for Nervous Patients

At the Parkway we take the concerns of nervous patients – and those who suffer from fear of the dentist –extremely seriously. A Smile Makeover may be a straightforward form of dental treatment, but the anxiety which it can provoke in many patients is very real. We offer nervous and phobic patients the option of Local Anaesthesia, Sedation dentistry or General Anaesthetic for all dental procedures, depending on suitability. It is all part of the gentle, considerate approach which The Parkway is known for.
