COVID-19 UPDATE FOR PATIENTS OF PARKWAY CLINIC

UPDATE March 2022

I hope this message finds you safe and well. We cannot express our gratitude enough for all your understanding and the patience you have shown us during this pandemic.

Positive news that there is light at the end of the tunnel !

As you are no doubt aware the Clinic has been operating under guidance from the Welsh Department of Health regarding treating patients during this Covid pandemic.

What has changed?

  • You must still wear face coverings in shops, health, and social care settings and on public transport.
  • There is no longer a legal requirement for you to wear a face covering in other indoor public places.
  • We strongly recommend that you still wear face coverings even where you don’t have to. COVID-19 is still a risk, and we must continue to do what we can to limit the spread.
  • You may have COVID-19 but not know it if you do not have symptoms. Wearing a face covering can help prevent you passing it to others.

Many of the rules regarding wearing masks have been relaxed in general society. However, in common with most Health Care settings, we are still maintaining many of our guidelines. This is to protect vulnerable patients within the Clinic, as well as our members of staff.

Furthermore, the absence of staff due to illness has a great impact on the running of the Clinic

The Welsh Chief Dental Officer has confirmed that current standard operating procedures will remain in place for Dentistry.

Therefore, to ensure the safety of our staff and patients, Parkway Clinic will be continuing to maintain the following steps, regardless of individuals’ Covid vaccination status.

We will continue with the following:

  1. Covid Screening 24 hours prior to your appointment. You will receive a call from the Hub asking you a few questions and updating you records
  2. Please can you wear a face covering prior to entering the Clinic
  3. Your temperature will still be recorded by the receptionist
  4. Please use the hand sanitisers within the Clinic
  5. Pleaser maintain a safe social distancing in Reception and the waiting area for everyone’s safety.

The Clinic is ensuring everyone’s safety while doing everything we can to help your journey

We are extremely grateful for your support and words of encouragement over the past two years.
