Simple Procedure, Quick Results.

A Tongue-tie happens when the tissue that attaches the tongue to the bottom of the mouth is too short. This may limit the movement of the tongue and affect speech. A fraenectomy is the small surgical procedure to treat a tongue tie.

The labial frenum can cause a large gap between the upper front teeth. The permanent teeth growing closer together or braces can close the gap, but the removal of the labial frenum may be necessary if the gap re-opens. This is called a Labial Frenectomy.

Both of these procedures can be carried out with Local Anaesthetic.

The consideration of Sedation or General Anaesthetic may be required in our purpose built surgical theatres conducted by our vastly experienced dental surgery team.
